Real Ice Rink
During Christmas 2009 the City Central Business Improvement District (BID) created a
memorable and exciting experience for city centre visitors, shoppers, and business
associates. The city central business improvement district is provided a real ice rink,
traditional carousel and alpine stalls in Williamson Square, real reindeers, falling snow in
Clayton Square, Jack Frosts at Lewis, the traditional city centre crib in Rapid and the
Superpolarbearlambanana and Queen Penguin at the Queen Square car park.
This enhanced the festive offer and link into the other wonderful Christmas events such
as the Christmas Market, Go Penguins and the Winters Trail to really brought the city to
life during this magical time.
Good morning to you both,
Just a quick thankyou’ from Georgina and myself.
We had a great time ice-skating yesterday. Georgina’s never been skating
before, and she can’t wait to do it again! It feels officially Christmas now.
Have yourselves a great festive season and all the best for 2010.
Cheers.
Bruno.
